Repairs & Warranty
Overview
At Bucking 90 Leather Co., every piece is built by hand with care, pride, and craftsmanship. We stand behind the quality of our leatherwork and want every customer to be completely confident in their purchase. This Repairs & Warranty Policy outlines how we handle craftsmanship issues, wear and tear, and repair services to keep your gear performing for years to come.
Craftsmanship Guarantee
We take great care to ensure that each belt, wallet, chap, and custom leather product leaving our shop meets the highest standards of quality. All items are inspected before shipping to ensure that stitching, tooling, and materials meet our expectations.
If a defect in craftsmanship occurs under normal use within six months of purchase, we will repair or replace the item at no cost to you. This guarantee applies to issues related to workmanship—such as stitching that has come loose, hardware that has failed, or similar construction defects—not damage caused by misuse, neglect, or normal wear.
Every claim is reviewed individually. Because each piece is handmade and unique, we may repair or replace your item with an equivalent or comparable product if the original materials are no longer available.
Wear and Tear
Leather is a natural material that ages, softens, and develops character over time. This patina is one of the most valued qualities of genuine leather and is not considered a defect. Marks, scuffs, and changes in texture are part of the natural aging process.
Normal wear—including scratches, colour fading, moisture exposure, stretching, or stains—is not covered under warranty. However, we do offer paid repair and restoration services to extend the life of your product.
If you are unsure whether your item qualifies as a warranty repair or regular wear and tear, please contact us with photographs and a brief description. We will happily assess your item and provide options for restoration or maintenance.
Hardware and Materials
Buckles, snaps, zippers, and other hardware components are built to last but may occasionally fail due to extended use or impact. Hardware issues that occur within six months of purchase under normal use are covered under our craftsmanship warranty. After that period, replacement or repair may be available for a small service fee depending on the materials required.
Custom Product Repairs
Custom products can often be repaired even after years of use. Because every piece is unique, repair costs and timelines vary based on design complexity and material availability. When submitting a repair request, please provide clear photos and a description of the issue. We will assess the damage and provide an estimate before beginning any work.
Repair Process
To request a repair, please contact us at [insert your business email] with your name, order number, and photographs of the item. Once your request is reviewed, we will confirm whether the issue qualifies under our warranty or if a repair estimate will be provided. All repairs must be shipped back to our shop, and customers are responsible for shipping costs unless the item is confirmed to be under warranty.
Once received, repairs typically take two to four weeks, depending on the nature of the work and our current production schedule. We’ll notify you when your item has been repaired and is ready to be shipped back.
Limitations of Warranty
Our warranty applies only to products made by Bucking 90 Leather Co. and purchased directly from us or through our authorized retailers. It does not cover damage caused by accident, misuse, exposure to extreme conditions, or unauthorized repairs or modifications. We cannot assume responsibility for items altered by third parties or damaged through improper care.
Care Recommendations
Proper maintenance helps your leather last a lifetime. We recommend conditioning your leather products periodically with a high-quality conditioner, keeping them dry, and avoiding long-term exposure to direct sunlight or moisture. If you’re unsure how to care for your item, refer to our Care Tips page or contact us for product-specific guidance.
