WE STAND BEHIND OUR WORK

Leather is a natural material that develops character over time, and every handmade item tells its own story through use. While signs of wear are expected and often celebrated, workmanship issues are not.

If you experience a problem related to the construction of your Bucking 90 Leather Co. product, we want to make it right. We carefully evaluate every repair request and will work with you to find the best solution.

Our goal isn't simply to sell leather goods—it's to create products that can be trusted for years to come.

CRAFTSMANSHIP GUARENTEED

We proudly guarantee the craftsmanship of our products for 6 months from the date of purchase. If a defect occurs under normal use due to our workmanship or materials, we will repair or replace the item at our discretion.

Examples of covered issues may include:

  • Loose or broken stitching
  • Failed rivets, snaps, or hardware
  • Construction defects
  • Material failures related to craftsmanship
  • Issues present from the original build

Because every item is handcrafted, we assess each warranty request individually to ensure the most appropriate solution.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED?

Leather is designed to age gracefully, and the marks it acquires over time are part of its character. As a result, our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by misuse.

Examples include:

  • Scratches, scuffs, and natural markings
  • Stretching or softening from regular use
  • Water, moisture, or environmental damage
  • Stains, discoloration, or fading
  • Damage caused by improper care or storage
  • Accidental damage or neglect

Even when damage falls outside our warranty coverage, we may still be able to repair or restore the item for a reasonable fee.

HARDWARE & MATERIALS

Quality materials are at the heart of every Bucking 90 product. We carefully select our leather, thread, hardware, and components to ensure durability and long-term performance.

If hardware such as buckles, snaps, rivets, or other components fail under normal use during the warranty period, we will repair or replace them as needed.

For products outside the warranty period, replacement hardware may still be available depending on the style, age, and availability of materials. We'll always do our best to match the original design whenever possible.

  • LINE 24 SNAPS (NICLE-FREE)

We use premium Line 24 nickel-free snaps selected for their strength, reliability, and corrosion resistance. Commonly found on wallets, accessories, and leather goods, these snaps are designed to withstand repeated use while maintaining a secure closure.

    Why We Use Them

    • Heavy-duty Line 24 construction
    • Nickel-free finish
    • Strong holding power
    • Durable for everyday use
    • Trusted by professional leatherworkers
  • CANSEW BONDED NYLON THREAD

    Why We Use It

    • High tensile strength
    • Bonded to resist fraying and wear
    • Excellent abrasion resistance
    • Performs well in high-stress areas
    • Creates clean, consistent stitching
    • Built for long-term durability

REPAIR FOR CUSTOM PIECES

Many of our products are one-of-a-kind creations built specifically for the individual who ordered them. Because of this, custom pieces often deserve a second life rather than replacement.

We offer repair services for many custom-made items, including:

  • Custom belts
  • Wallets and card holders
  • Roughstock chaps
  • Spur straps
  • Knife sheaths
  • Specialty leather projects

Repair costs and turnaround times vary depending on the complexity of the repair, material availability, and current shop workload. We'll provide an assessment before any work begins.

  • STEP 1: CONTACT US

Send us an email with your name, order information (if available), photos of the issue, and a brief description of the repair needed. Clear photos help us provide the most accurate assessment possible.

  • STEP 2: REVIEW & ASSESSMENT

We'll review the photos and determine whether the issue falls under warranty coverage or requires a paid repair. If a repair estimate is required, we'll provide pricing and expected turnaround times before proceeding.

  • STEP 3: SHIP YOUR ITEM BACK

Once approved, you'll send the item to our Alberta workshop. Customers are responsible for shipping costs unless the repair has been confirmed as a warranty claim.

  • STEP 4: REPAIR & RETURN

After the item arrives, we'll complete the repair and return it as quickly as possible. Most repairs are completed within 2–4 weeks, though larger projects may require additional time depending on shop workload.
